ABOUT SANCTUARY PBC
Sanctuary PBC was founded on a simple but urgent mission: to ensure that everyone fleeing abuse or crisis has access to safe, immediate housing. Every day, thousands are turned away from shelters due to lack of space, funding, or outdated systems. Our trauma-informed, mobile-first platform connects survivors, displaced students, and disaster-affected individuals with emergency housing—quickly, securely, and at no cost to those in need. By partnering with cities, nonprofits, and institutions, and by negotiating affordable hotel stays, Sanctuary PBC offers more than just a room—we provide a foundation for recovery, dignity, and hope. Our vision is bold: to become the global standard for emergency housing, restoring safety and stability to those who need it most.
The people we support and the reality they face
63% of homeless women have experienced domestic or sexual violence, and a significant portion of homelessness among women is caused by domestic violence.
Average time homeless: It takes a homeless family 6 to 10 months to secure housing.
Children affected: Approximately 15.5 million children in the U.S. are exposed to intimate partner violence each year.
Economic impact: The estimated lifetime cost of intimate partner violence is $103,767 per female victim and $23,414 per male victim, totaling nearly $3.6 trillion over victims' lifetimes.
